| Luo Yi, male, born in March of 1966, a native of Henan Luoshan County, Han nationality. A selected candidate of 100 Talents Program of the CAS. He was graduated from the water conservancy department of the former Beijing University of Agricultural Engineering in July of 1987 with a Bachelor of Technology degree and in July of 1990 he graduated from the same University with a degree of Master of Technology; in June of 1998 he graduated from the hydroelectrical engineering department of Tsinghua University with a Doctor of Technology degree; in 2000 he was a post-doctoral fellow of the Institute of Geographic Sciences & Natural Resource Research. In 2000 he became an associate research fellow of the Institute and Master's tutor; in 2004 he became a research fellow of the Institute and doctoral tutor;now he is a research fellow and doctoral tutor of Institute of Geographic Sciences & Natural Resource Research under the CAS, deputy head of Yucheng Comprehensive Experimental Station and Chairman of Soil Physics Speciality Committee under Soil Science Society of China. He is mainly engaged in the experimental and model studies on the mechanisms of energy substance cycle in the farmland eco-system, and crop growth models; on agro-water saving theory, method and technology; on crop growth process, regional (drainage) hydrological process and coupling simulation system of ground water dynamics process; on regional ecology hydrological process and water management by combining remote sensing, GIS technology and distributed eco-hydrological model, as well as R & D of the management decision-making support system. |
